Special Olympics GB athletes are at the heart of their organisation. They want to provide opportunities for their athletes to showcase their skills and talents both on and off the field of play.
Through their Social Enterprise, Special Olympics GB want to support and showcase the entrepreneurial skills of their athletes.
The First Of Many....
Niall Guite ‘Art with a Special Goal’ is Special Olympics GB's first step as an organisation into establishing their own Social Enterprise to help provide more meaningful employment opportunities for more of their athletes like Niall.
With 94% of people with an intellectual disability not in paid employment [1] this is a great step forward and one they hope others will embrace.
Special Olympics GB will always ensure their athletes receive as much of the profit as possible. Any profit received by Special Olympics GB will be re-invested into the development Athlete Leadership and Social Enterprise to provide more opportunities to more athletes.
